Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity
The manager at our Najaf Branch wrote to us pleading to call upon humanity and urgently raise awareness to help the 1000s of displaced families from Mosul and Telafar.
Mr Abu Alhassan Alsarraf informed us that thousands of families (which are our Christian brothers and sisters) have been displaced from Mosul and Telafar to the city of Najaf, and those families are currently living in mosques and places of worship along a 40 kilometre stretch on the highway of Najaf-Karbala.
The number of families is increasing formidably as I’m typing this appeal to inform you of the severity of the situation in Iraq. And this has burdened families with no shelter or food.
Mr Alsaraf has announced that he will personally donate a symbolic sum of $50 to place an advert on Facebook in order to reach the greatest number of subscribers.
Being overwhelmed by the terrible conditions those families are living in he calls upon all those who can lend a helping hand to support those disadvantaged families.
Accordingly, we also call upon all our generous brothers and sisters to donate unselfishly to alleviate the families’ sufferings.
