Mothers Day is respected on different days in different parts of the world, although usually this occurs in Spring. 

Spring is synonymous with birth and new life.  And, on Mothers Day, sons and daughters worldwide recall how much their mothers have provided for them from the time of their birth to when they can finally stand up for themselves.

Mothers are the backbone of the family.  They provide their children with affection, love and support throughout their entire lives, dedicating everything they have for their children’s wellbeing.

Mothers Day is a time when families remember and honour their mothers and the great influence of mothers in the world

This Mothers Day, we ask you to spare a thought for the Mothers in Iraq who, despite endless challenges and hardships, toil relentlessly to provide a home, food, education, medical and emotional support for their children. Many of these women are widows providing and caring for large families of orphans, as well as extended families.  They have little, or no means of financial support. They are the heroes of society.

Our target is to raise £2000 this Mothers Day in recognition and support of 200 well deserving Mothers in Iraq. 

A minimum donation of £10 will be greatly appreciated towards making this a reality for a Mother in need.
