Every day there are thousands of orphans and poor families living in Iraq under extremely difficult conditions.   The increase in the cost of living has made the situation worse.

Shakiry Charity intends to build bridges between donors and the needy in order to provide the essentials for decent living.  We aim to provide the children of poor families with essential school supplies.  

Our intention is to create a homogenous school culture, and in so doing, to abolish the difference in class culture, which has a huge emotional impact on the feelings of poor children.

We are seeking active participation and cooperation from generous people to enable poor children to receive school clothing and other school supplies for the approaching academic year which starts in September 2015.

Shakiry Charity has introduced a School Voucher Program which will be distributed in a manner similar to the food and clothing voucher programs.  This will enable families and children to have the freedom to choose their supplies from approved stores registered with the charity.

Each voucher costs £30 which is equivalent to 50,000 Iraqi Dinars. This is enough to buy essential clothing and school supplies for a family of at least 3 children.
