During regular inspection visits undertaken by the staff of Basra Centre in Aboal Khaseeb area,  they met Mr. Abdul Ameer Abdul Zahra Qitan.

Abdul is a disabled man who suffers from paralysis of legs (due to polio).  Following the death of his parents, he was left with no family. in order to preserve his dignity he refused to accept charity from strangers, and would only accept support in return for doing a job such as the collection of dates from the ground or palm fronds.

But, with time he became further incapacitated.   He now cannot perform the simplest task to take care of his personal needs.  Abdul lives in a room constructed of mud devoid of the bare necessities to permit a dignified lifestyle.

He desperately requires the amount of £90 (approx IQD 153,00) for his immediate living requirements in terms of bedding and heating.

He also seeks a kind sponsor to provide a monthly donation of £30 (approx IQC 51,000) to cover his basic living expenses.
