As part of the regular inspection visits of Bayaa Citizen Advice and Care Centre staff to underprivileged families in the area, the team visited a family that has a child with special needs.

Abdullah Laith Abbas (5 years) suffers from a cerebral atrophy which has caused slow body growth and hormonal disorders.  This is in addition to an eating disorder and infection in his lungs.

After having the child examined by a specialized physician, the latter prescribed the necessary treatment for the child’s condition.  However, due to limited financial resources, the family cannot afford the cost of the medication.

Abdullah needs 15 cans of Pedia Sure Milk per month, the cost of which is IQD 200.000 (approx £120) monthly.

Please, help this helpless child and his family.
