Staff from Basra Citizens Care and Advice Centre recently visited the family of Mrs. Hanaa Jawad Kadhum (divorces in 2006), who supports three children ranging from 7-13  years old.

The family lives in Fao with her the aging grandmother.  They are supported through a social welfare pension, which she receives every three months.  Unfortunately, as the children are all of school going age, the pension is not enough to cover their necessities.

Hanaa calls upon the generosity of philanthropists to help her during these hard times.

The family needs a child support donation of IQD 50000 (approx £30) per month.

The mother is also trying to raise IQD 150000 (approx £90) so that she may buy a sewing machine and start a business to generate income for herself and the family.
