The staff of Basra Center visited the family of Mrs. Fatima Khraybish Dhayol, who supports two orphans in the age of 5 and 7.

Her husband died with heart attack. He used to work as security guard in cement factory in Zubair area. His widow and two orphans now live in her brother's house with the latter's family, who already suffer poverty because of the insufficient income. The brother works as taxi driver with daily wages, and thus unable to provide for the widow's family.

The widow receives welfare pension which is IQD 400000 (approximately £ 235) every three months.

The family needs to live in separate house or have financial support to help the brother in providing the daily necessities as the pension doesn't cover the family basic expenses.

The widow asks for financial help of IQD 50000 (  approximately £ 30)

Also, she wishes to buy a sewing machine of IQD 150000 (approximately £ 89)
