Through visits to inspect the conditions of needy families in Al Zubayr, the charity’s staff discovered the needy family of  Binai struggling under difficult circumstances.

They live in the slums in a house with a corrugated iron roof which does not protect them from the harsh winter rains. In fact, the roof does not entirely cover the house, only the small kitchen area.

The elderly mother left her husband of ten years. She has an unmarried daughter who is 30 years old and wants to become a seamstress in order to provide for herself and her mother, but they do not have the money to buy a sewing machine.

Her mother buys candy to sell to youngsters from inside her house and it is her hope to have a stall to sell things from in front of her house.

This family are in need of:

Financial assistance amounting to £125 (approx. 200,000 IQD) to buy a sewing machine.
Financial assistance of £190 (approx. 300,000 IQD) to install a small kiosk.

The charity hopes that the kindhearted will donate in order to fulfil these simple desires which will improve their lives greatly.
