The Basra branch of Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity is engaged in preparations to undertake an ongoing fundraising campaign.  This campaign will raise money to provide invaluable prosthetic limbs for amputees (legs, arms, hands etc). Most of the men amputees lost their limbs on the battlefield defending their homeland.  Others are women and children who were injured as a result of terrorist bombings.

Basra Centre staff are working with staff from Sadr Centre to ensure cooperation in the production of prosthetic limbs and to perform the humanitarian work that will allow the sons of the nation to return to the workplace and to enjoy a relatively normal life, after the sacrifice that they have made in defending the nation. It will restore the lives of children and women, innocent victims, who were hit by a bomb; and who deserve our care, attention, and the hope of a normal future life.

We hope that this campaign will be supported by generous benefactors to the cause and plight of these innocent people who deserve our encouragement and support.

This campaign will be a new step in humanitarian projects and campaigns that will be carried out by Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity under the supervision of Mr Abdul Sahib Shakiry and his capable leadership.
