Man fulfills the roles of mother and father for four children
20/10/2016     Help No: H080000063

Mr Mohammed Saleh Mohammed has visited the Basra Centre more than once to ask for help having become exhausted by the difficulties of living and caring for his children.

This father supports four children ranging between the ages of 4 and 10, two of whom are students in school. The children lost their mother around four months ago in a fire; after that, their father became more than their father to them, as he had to be both the mother and father.  In addition he takes care of his elderly, blind mother.

They all live in a house with a roof that leaks when it rains during the winter.  The house lacks many basic household necessities.

Mohammed is asking that charitable, good and righteous people take note of his difficult situation and assist him in finding a source of livelihood which will enable him to support himself and his children, as currently he has no way or resources to meet the expenses of his family.

Mohammed further reported that he suffers from acute bronchitis, which often brings him to the point of choking but he cannot afford to see a doctor or pay for treatment.

The family need:

  • Medical sponsorship of £34 (50,000 IQD approx) for the treatment of the father.

  • Financial assistance of £200 (300,000 IQD approx) to enable Mr Mohammed to build a kiosk in order to earn a living.

  • Financial assistance of £67 (100,000 IQD approx) for the purchase of basic home appliances.

Basra Centre staff seek your support to enable Mohammed to overcome his current difficulties
