Ms Mahdia Saleh Fayyad attended the Centre for the purpose of receiving school clothes for her children.   Whilst there, she discussed the ongoing suffering of her family.  They had been hoping for help from charitable people to assist them with their increasingly difficult living conditions. The health of her son has deterioated after an operation to move stones from his kidney, which did not fully resolve the problem as three stones remain causing him great pain. Further surgery was necessary but the child’s body could not bear it as it required weekly examinations and treatment and thus the necessary further reviews were not completed.

The family lives in a rundown house - unsuitable for habitation as winter approaches, due to a broken roof.  Mahdia calls on charitable folk to help her to repair the roof to shield her family from rain leaking on them.

This family is in need of:

• Monthly sponsorship of £17 (25,000 IQD approx) for each orphan.

• Medical sponsorship of the value of £34 (50,000 IQD approx) for her son’s treatment

• Financial assistance to the value of £134 (200,000 IQD approx) to cover the basic daily needs of the family and repair the roof of their home.

The Centre’s staff hope that charitable persons will hear the widow’s cry for help and prevent the family from suffering further.
