Widow supporting a family of seven cries out for help
Staff of the branch visited the widow Fatima M.T. and her family. They found that the family consists of seven individuals who live together in a rented house costing 500,000 IQD (approx. £300) per month. The house lacks some basic facilities that they cannot pay for due to their poor financial conditions.
Fatima’s sister (who is separated from her husband) and her children, as well as her old, sick father who is bedridden and needs constant treatment, live with her in the house.
This family suffers from as a result of their harsh life. They are facing challenging days and need someone to help them. They have no financial income other than a minimal Social Welfare Assistance Fatima receives. This is not enough to meet their needs and to pay for her father’s treatment.
