Desperate mother needs help to support her children

Staff of Karbala Branch recently visited the house of the widow Bushra A. M.  

During their visit they discovered that the family lives in a house, together with her son's wife and children (their father abandoned them due to difficult life circumstances).  The house monthly rental is 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) per month.  The house lacks the most basic necessities for a decent lifestyle. Previously the family was displaced from their areas of residence in “Jurf Al-Sakhar”.  They left and were unable to carry anything with them when they were displaced. Their house lacks most basic house appliances and necessary conveniences to lead a normal life.

This family needs:

• Ongoing orphan sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) per month for each orphan.
• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a cooker.
• A donation of 250,000 IQD (approx. £150) to buy a washing machine.
• Donations to help set up and develop a project (sewing machine) so that Bushra can generate an income for her family.

Staff from the branch appeal to generous benefactors to extend a helping hand to this poor and exhausted family.
