Karbala Branch:

Young man in the prime of life, struck by bone cancer

Following an urgent appeal from one of our volunteers in “Aoun”, Karbala staff carried out a field visit to the home of a young man, Ali R. T.

Ali, who was formerly a football player in one of Karbala governorate clubs, is 25 years old.  This young man is currently suffering from bone cancer.  He is undergoing expensive chemotherapy treatment which places a huge burden on his family, who have no financial source other than what the father earns from his daily job.  This barely covers the family's daily living expenses.

The patient is in dire need of medical reviews, continuous analysis and examinations to follow up the stages of his illness and his response to treatment.  This requires large amounts of money.  The family cannot provide for all of his medical needs. In addition, to save his life, Ali needs to travel to India to undergo expensive surgery.

The family appeal to benevolent, kind people to extend a helping hand to help save the life of their young son, especially as the family has already sought help from all relevant parties at ‘The Ministry of Youth.’  In desperation, they have even resorted to publishing his sad story through Facebook and other media. Unfortunately, they have not been able to gather the money the surgery requires.

Ali seeks multiple donations:

  • Towards the cost of the surgery which will be  30,000,000 IQD (approx. £18.135.000).  Any donations, large or small, towards financing the cost of the surgery will be sincerely appreciated.

  • He is also in urgent need of donations to pay for his weekly checkups and ongoing treatment.  The total cost is 1,000,000 IQD (approx. £605.000)

Your compassion and generosity towards providing for this young man’s  medical needs will be enormously appreciated.  Any donation you are able to give towards these significant costs will be welcome.
