Destitute widow appeals for help to support her orphans 

Najaf staff visited the family of the widow Maha T. J.  They found that she lives under difficult circumstances with her orphans.

Maha became solely responsible for the care of her three orphans, aged between 10-14 years, after their father was martyred during the operations to liberate Mosul.

The orphans continue to study despite their poverty, but they urgently need essential school supplies to continue their studies.

This widow is housing in slum areas in a rented house costing 150,000 IQD (approx. £95) monthly, and they only get a salary of 400,000 IQD (approx. £250) every two monthly, which is divided between the family of the martyr and his mother, and it is not enough for them to cover their living expenses.

This family is in dire need of:

• Ongoing orphan sponsorship of 25,000 IQD (approx. £15) per month for each orphan. (X3)
• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £125) to buy a cooker.
• A donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £95) to buy school supplies.
• OR Ongoing monthly family sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30).  This will ensure that this family are registered on a regular supplies program.

Staff appeal to charitable people to help this widow overcome some of her difficulties and to secure the wellbeing of her orphans.
