Family exhausted by illness and poverty needs support 

Staff from Karbala Branch visited the family of Khalidah A. H. to check up on  their difficult living conditions.  This is a large family of 8.  Staff found that the father is unable to work due to illness (eye disease), one of the sons has suffered from mental retardation since birth, and two of the sons work in the construction field for low wages. This family is going through harsh circumstances due to their size, basic needs and lack of income.

To help this family, they need:

• Ongoing monthly family sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £30) to include them on the monthly food & clothing program.
• A donation of 250,000 IQD (approx. £150) to buy a washing machine. 
• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £120) to buy a cooker. 
• A donation of 100,000 IQD (approx. £60) to pay for treatment. 

Staff and the family are appealing to charitable people to help provide for some of their needs.
