Family of Syrian refugees in Baghdad lacking the simplest necessities of life need urgent help.
13/03/2013

Mrs Aminah Aziz Qasim, a Syrian refugee from Aleppo, came to Iraq with her family consisting of her husband and three sons after fire engulfed their home and their possessions in recent violent events in Syria. And now, after Mrs Aminah's family has found a dwelling in the Al-Qantas area of Baghdad at a rent of 250,000 Dinars a month, the family possesses neither furniture nor articles for the house they rent, nor do they know  where the money for the rent will come from.

Mrs Aminah says that they sit on the floor without anything to protect them from the cold. Her husband has heart problems and needs daily medicine but they do not have the money to buy it.

The family appeals to good folk to offer what help they can.

It is worth mentioning that the Centre's staff have been able to collect a number of materials (from well-meaning folk) - among which cooking utensils, some covers, clothing, foodstuffs, canned food, and the sum of 100,000 Dinars donated by a group of well-wishers:  Amad Abd Al-Rasoul 50,000 Dinars; Ahmed Abd Al-Abbas 25,000 Dinars; and a benefactor who donated 25,000 Dinars. Allah rewards them for their goodness!
