Baghdad – Citizens Advice and Care Centre (Sadr City branch)
In response to telephone calls made by Centre staff to a few benefactors, 500,000 Iraqi Dinars were kindly donated by Mr. Ahmed Almalh and Mr. Mohammed Hadi Shibar. These donations were used to buy chicken meat for needy families in the slum areas of Baghdad.
Also, Mr. Hashim Alshakiry generously donated five food baskets to needy orphaned families each consisting of the following items:
1- Rice
2- Sugar
3- Salt
4- Chicken
5- Teabags
6- Shampoo
7- Washing up powder
8- Bottle of squash
9- Can of tomato paste
10- Chickpeas
11- Lentils
12- Beans
These baskets have been distributed to five widows as per the donor’s request.
