Baghdad: Citizen Advice and Care Centre/ Sadr City Branch
As an implementation of the Iraqi Prime Minister’s decision, by granting widows with children and no house or land property, in joint work between the Citizen Advice and Care Centre in Sadr City Branch and volunteers like Ms Lamyaa Hussein, who helped in making inventory of the widows names registered with the Centre and send their files to Women’s Affairs Department in Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour in order to submit their applications.
After looking into all the procedures of each application and checking if they meet all the requirements set by the government, the aforementioned Ministry has issues its accord on the applications, and the centre immediately had been in contact with 23widows who have 4 children, according to the assigned day for this group. The centre made sure they go with them and help during all procedure, until every woman gets her grant in document and signed by the Ministry.
In the following day, the rest of the widows who were not present in the first day had been contacted, and provided with the same service assistance. Furthermore, the centre and volunteer staff have carried out contact operations with most eligible widows in order to direct them to apply.
Thus, the Citizen Advice and Care Centre in Sadr City Branch is pleased to announce accomplishing of the land plots bond grants to all widows whose been attended by the centre. In 26/09/2013 every one of them received land plots of (150 Square Meters) in Abu Dashir region in Baghdad and their number is 23 widows. Accordingly, in the next week the centre will work on completion of bureaucratic procedures of widows with 3 children or more.
