Citizens advice and care Centre (a branch of Najaf)
Ms. Amina Mohamed Ali approached the Najaf advice centre to explain her distress and suffering over more than 11 years.
Ms. Amina's family was almost destroyed in 2003 from the shelling by U.S. forces. Two of her sons and their wives and children were killed and also her daughter who was living in the store of a sewing factory in Najaf.
Ms. Amina has tried for more than ten years to obtain compensation from the relevant government departments regarding the rights of the martyrs but has so far received nothing.
She brought all the relevant records to the advice Centre of Najaf, including:
The formal analysis of the accident
The death certificates including that of her grandson
The cause of death (the head separated from the body)
After the accident the only daughter who survived then suffered from psychological shock leading to her mental breakdown.
The lady, the aging husband (who is unable to work) and daughter live by moving from house to house in several governorates because of the lack of home ownership or even the possibility of renting a house. There is only a piece of land obtained from good people in the Mazloum area but it is unfit for habitation.
Ms. Amina appeals to benefactors to assist them as they are tired of continually moving from house to house and she faces embarrassment when they have to live with relatives and acquaintances.
