The Shakiry Charity For Social Solidarity is undertaking a humanitarian campaign where your donations will be used to purchase food baskets for needy families in Iraq. These will be distributed among widows, orphans and the poor during the noble month of Ramadhan 2013 God willing.

The value of the supplies for each basket is 50,000 Iraqi Dinars – which is equivalent to £30.

We aim to get at least one thousand food baskets by means of your generous donations. We ask you to contribute kindly and help us reach our target.

To participate, you can do any of the following:

1. Donate to the value of one basket or more by one of the donation methods explained below.

2.  Spread the word by urging family, colleagues and friends to donate. You may chose to make use of social sites such as Facebook or Twitter to reach out to as many people as possible to ask for donations.
