The Al-Grayaat Advice Centre holds its first Health Advice Symposium about epidemic influenza.
13/03/2013

On 16/2/13 the Citizens' Advice And Care Centre (Al-Grayaat branch) held its first Health Advice Symposium for women of the area about the spread of epidemic influenza, put forward by the volunteer Mr Mohammed Abraham Kadhim Al-Jabouri, an official on the Health Advice Committees and on the Innoculation Campaigns Unit at the Al-Grayaat Health Centre. During the symposium a general explanation was broached about epidemic influenza whose symptoms have appeared in a number of afflicted citizens in our beloved Iraq , especially in this season when the migration of birds between countries is on the increase which is considered a serious factor in assisting the transfer of this contagion from one country to another. Attention to cleanliness was emphasised and the use of suitable disinfectants, and not to underestimate this disease despite the paucity of victims to it for it is a disease dangerous to human life. Ignoring protection against it or not hurrying to  treat it leads to complications that can cost the life of the victim.

Similarly, Mr Mohammed Abraham explained the necessity of attention to the cleanliness of food and clothing, and attention to water - especially drinking water which should preferably be sterilised with sterilising tablets (on average, one tablet sterilises 30 litres of water) . These tablets are distributed by the Health Centre for free.

At the end of his lecture Mr Mohammed Abraham Al-Jabouri answered commendably to questions and enquiries from those present.
