Citizens' Advice and Care Centre (Sadr City branch)

In response to an appeal for help published on the following link:

"Family comprising mainly of women, children and an elderly father, living in a relative's house, are threatened with eviction"

donations reached Sadr City Citizens Advice And Care Centre to the value of 400,920 IQD (approx £210)

The Centre's staff distributed the money according to the wishes of the benefactors, namely, Mr Simon Deeley requested 150,000 IQD (approx £79) be allocated towards the cost of Mr Kataa Tarifi's treatment, and 200,000 IQD (approx £105) towards the purchase of a refrigerator for the family. A further 50,920 IQD (approx £27) donation received from Red Sea Markets supplemented the cost of Mr Tarifi’s treatment and the balance on the refrigerator.

Mr Kataa Tarifi's joy was indescribable as he shed tears of happiness because someone had cared enough to hear his voice and to provide him with the means to receive the treatment that he desperately needs. Along with the Centre’s staff, he extends his gracious thanks to the generous supporters who responded to his desperate appeal.
