The staff of Baya’a Centre visited the widow Manal Kazem Mohammed and her six orphans (the eldest is 15 years old).

This family of seven are all living in one room in her family's house in the Abu Dsheer area in Baghdad.

Manal’s husband died (8) months ago and this family has no breadwinner or income from any source.  When she was asked about whether she had a profession or skills from which she could earn a living, she replied that sewing is the profession she practices and that this could help her to sustain her children and ensure that they complete their studies like other children do.

This widow needs a domestic sewing machine which will enable her to produce and sell stitched items to meet the needs of her children and provide an acceptable standard of living for them.

Please help Manal to realise her goal and become self-supportive.
