Najaf Centre staff visited the family of Mrs. Tshawan Shukr who lives in a state of abject poverty.
She lost her husband in battles defending the homeland and was left to care for seven small children, whose ages range between 1 and 10.
She was then evicted from her house because she had no means of paying the rent, and she lived with her children on the street for a week near a holy shrine. During this time, ill-meaning people tried to steal her children from her.
Following the visit of the centre’s staff to her, a kind person donated rent for a house in Ansar and paid the value of two months rental. This family owns nothing of any worth or value. They are absolutely destitute. Please help them.
The family’s immediate needs are:
- Clothes for children valued at £100 (approximately 160,000 IQD)
- Milk and diapers for the child costing £32 (approximately 50,000 IQD) monthly
It is worth mentioning that generous philanthropists have donated a plot of land (50 meters) to build a house for her and her seven children. The cost of construction would be £2500 (4,000,000 IQD). Any donations towards building the house would be extremely appreciated.
We hope that the plight of this destitute family will touch the hearts of the community, and a generous and benevolent helping hand will be extended to Mrs. Tshawan Shukr and her family.
