Centre staff visited the family of the young man, Mohammed Yasser Abdul Hussein, who fought in the battles to defend the holy sites. He currently lives in a house consisting of one room with a wooden covering for a roof, from which he was recently threatened with eviction.
This young man suffered a foot injury after he received shrapnel in his right leg. The doctors who reviewed the injury decided that due to a severe infection, it was necessary to amputate the limb to prevent its spread to the rest of the body.
Aware of his circumstances, a generous benefactor began the building of a house for him, and with the efforts of well-wishers, most sections of the house have now been completed. Unfortunately, construction has now come to a halt after they ran out of money to build the roof.
- £1334 (2,000,000 IQD approx) is needed to buy materials to complete the house, but it is worth mentioning that the construction work is being completed for free by young volunteers.
The centre appeals to the benevolent to help this young man threatened with eviction from his home to return to normal life.
