Staff from Sadr City Citizens Advice and Care Centre, accompanied by the volunteer Mr. Nizar Khalil Sa'ir, visited the home of a poor family suffering from poverty and disease.   They met with the sisters Ahlam,  Suad, and Rabush Saleh.

 Ahlam is 50 years of age and has difficulty in speaking due to a speech disability.  She also suffers from a heart disease and constantly requires ongoing monthly treatment.

Suad, who is 42 years old, also suffers from a speech difficulty,  as well as breast cancer.  She urgently needs to receive chemotherapy treatment.

The sisters share a family home with their brother and his family.  The brother is the sole provider for this impoverished extended family.

They urgently need: -

- Ongoing monthly medical support of 50,000 IQD (approx. £35) each to cover medical costs.

- 150,000 IQD (approx. £100) to buy an air cooler to provide comfort to them in their suffering during the hot months of summer.

Staff from the Centre and the family of the sisters urgently appeal for financial support to help them.
