Staff from Basra Citizens Care and Advice Centre recently visited the home of Mrs. Souad Hashim in order to assess her family’s needs and living conditions following her application to the Centre for financial support.

Mrs Hashim cares and provides for her daughter Hala Fadel, who suffers from epilepsy and can often experience up to five epileptic fits per day.

She is also responsible for the care and wellbeing of her son and his family, as he too suffers from epilepsy and is frequently ill.  As a result of his condition, he is unable to get a job.

This family needs:

- Medical sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £35) per month for each sufferer
