Basra Citizen Advice and Care Centre staff visited the family of Mr. Youssef Yacoub. They found that they live in a deplorable state of poverty, destitution, and deprivation.

This father supports his three children with great difficulty as he is unable to work and manage his life. He lives with his children in a small house comprising two small rooms, where the bathroom is in the living room.  This is a breeding ground for germs, diseases and bad odors.

The home lacks the most basic necessities of life such as refrigerators, cookers, and television.

Youssef has tried to provide his children with a daily income but to no avail.  He has no fixed source of income or even a social welfare benefit.  The family is suffering from destitution and deprivation.

 This family desperately needs: -

- A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £135)  to repair their house.

- A Donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £135) to purchase a refrigerator.

- A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £135) to buy a small cooker and air cooler.
