Staff from Basra Citizens Care and Advice Centre recently visited the home of Mr. Adel Hamad Ali al-Mutaiha, who was injured by an explosion resulting in the amputation of his limb.

During the course of the meeting, the family spoke of the suffering he has bravely endured as a result of his injury, and his ongoing frustration and mental anguish at not being able to work and support the needs of his family and household.

Mr. Adel Hamad Ali al-Mutaiha remains defiant that he will be able to provide for his family, and is seeking an opportunity to be able to return to work.

Meanwhile, this family urgently needs: -

- A donation of 800,000 IQD (approx. £500) to undergo further surgery

Basra Citizens Care and Advice Centre seek a kind-hearted benefactor(s) to support the cost of the surgery, and to potential employers who can offer Adel Hamad Ali an opportunity to earn a living and provide for his family.
