Children into Education
Dear Friends,
Can you imagine the anguish of seeing the tears of your children each day as they watch their friends set off to school, knowing that you cannot afford to provide this basic opportunity in life for them.
Many poor children in Iraq face an ongoing bleak future of despair and hardship. Children are being denied education if their parent(s) cannot afford to provide the child with a school uniform, books and stationery to send them to school
Every year Shakiry Charity, in association with our affiliated Citizen Care and Advice Centres in Iraq, runs a Back to School Campaign to raise funds so that deprived children may have an opportunity to attend school, obtain an education, and rise up out of the cycle of poverty.
This year we are aiming to support 500 Children into Education through sponsorship of £20 per child. This donation will equip a child with school clothing, and a school bag filled with stationery and books and the opportunity to attend school for one year.
We extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the generous Donors who have already contributed to this Campaign. Your donations will have a very meaningful impact on a child’s life.
Education is a Basic Right. Please help us to realise this “Right” for as many needy children as possible.
The Campaign will run until 31st October. We will appreciate all donations for this cause.
