Staff from Sadr City Citizens Care and Advice Branch recently visited the home of the Suha Abdul Mashoul.  Suha is a Widow who suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes.

Her husband died two years ago and she was left to care for her five orphans aged between 3 and 15 years old, and her elderly mother who lives with them.  They live in a poor area, and as there is no breadwinner to provide for them, their neighbours help out where they can from time to time, but their resources are also limited.

Besides their poverty and despair, two of the children suffer from chronic and dangerous illnesses. Fatima suffers from kidney disease and needs monthly treatment, and another child suffers from chronic psoriasis.

This family urgently needs support as follows: -

1 – Ongoing Monthly Sponsorship of 25,000 IQD (Approx £15) for each of the five orphans.

2 – Ongoing Monthly Sponsorship for medical support of 150,000 IQD (approx. £90) for the mother and sick children.

3 – A Once-off Donation of 100,000 IQD (Approx £60) to buy clothes and accessories for children.
