Staff from Bayaa Citizens Care and Advice Branch visited the family of Faten Yassin Abdel. Faten and her family are registered with the Branch as one of the poor and destitute families in the area.  Their house rental costs 300,000 IQD (Approx £180) and lacks the most basic necessities.

Faten provides for her four orphans aged 8 to 17 years.  She has no fixed income, except for a pension of 365,000 IQD (Approx £220) per month, which is insufficient to meet the requirements and needs of the orphans.

The unexpected sudden death of the father had such a large psychological impact on the eldest son, he had to leave school.  In view of this, the mother refrained from mentioning the death of the husband in front of her younger children.

This family desperately needs: -

  - A once off donation of 250,000 IQD (Approx £150) to buy a cooker.

- A once off Donation of 200,000 IQD (Approx £120) to buy school supplies so the children can attend school.

- Ongoing Monthly Sponsorship of 25,000 IQD (Approx £15) per orphan per month.

- Faten and the Staff of Bayaa Citizens Care and Advice Branch appeal to the goodwill of people to uplift this family from their suffering.
