Sadr Citizen Care and Advice Centre have launched their latest campaign under the slogan:

  Sponsor an Orphan”

This humanitarian campaign aims to create awareness of the desperate plight of the many Orphans, Needy Families, Sick and Elderly in the area.  The foremost intent is to ensure that the lives of orphaned children, who are hungry, poorly clothed and suffering can be uplifted through the support of monthly sponsorship, and accordingly their lives will be enriched.

Sponsor an Orphan is the most important and indeed founding program of Shakiry Charity.  We will be supporting Sadr Citizen Care and Advice Centre in this initiative and promoting sponsorship.  Parents and families of orphans living within the area will be encouraged to register their children at the Centre in order that they may qualify for support.

Under the Sponsor an Orphan Program, orphans need to receive a monthly amount of 25,000 IQD (approx £15) to contribute towards their food and clothing needs.  We encourage you to browse our website www.shakirycharity.org where you will find information relative to Orphans.

We realise that some Donors may not be in a position to commit to a monthly sponsorship.  We would thus welcome and appreciate receiving any donations that you may be able to give in nominations of £5 / £10 /£15. All donations under this Help Number will towards Sponsoring an Orphan and providing for their daily food, clothing and schooling needs.
