The staff of Sadr City Citizens Care and Advice Branch visited the house of Mrs. Janan Kazem Saadoun, who together with her five children are living under tragic conditions after being her husband her, leaving her to take responsibility for their children.

Their eldest son died in battle defending his country. The father claimed compensation from the government, and upon receipt thereof he left his home and family without a breadwinner or any income to afford them a decent living.

Another son Mustafa is 16 years old.  He suffered head and hand burns.  He requires a medical patch to be replaced every six months.  The cost of this patch is 500,000 IQD (approx. £300).

Their house is in a bad state of disrepair and they desperately need basic household appliances.

Their needs are as follows:

1- Monthly medical sponsorship of 100,000 IQD (approx. £60) for the children’s treatment

2 – A donation of 140,000 IQD (approx. £84) to buy a washing machine.

3 – A donation of 230,000 IQD (approx. £138) to buy a refrigerator.
