During our visit to the widow's family (Sawsan A.N), who lives with her 8-year-old daughter, Zainab - a school student in  need for the necessary supplies, we found that they desperately and urgently need help in order for them to overcome their suffering.
 
This widow lives in her brother's house in a room whose roof is made  of corrugated metal, which does not protect against the summer heat. The room also lacks any cooling device as well as many necessities such as a cooker, a fridge, a washing machine, etc, etc. They only live  on an assistance from the  social welfare of about 250,000 IQD, around (£165) every two months that does not  meet their living expenses. In addition, this widow suffers from lung fibrosis.
 
This family desperately needs: -
 
- A monthly assistance for the orphaned daughter  of 25,000 IQD, around (£20).
- A Financial assistance worth 160,000 IQD,  around (£105) to buy a cooker.
- A Financial assistance worth 220,000 IQD, around (£145) to buy a refrigerator.
 
- A Financial assistance worth 160,000 IQD, around (£105)  to buy a washing machine.
