Our Back to School Campaign is a humanitarian effort to enable all children registered with the Charity’s Branches in Iraq with the opportunity to attend school.

Shakiry Charity for Social Solidarity (London and Iraq) have for the past few weeks been vigorously pursuing a fundraising campaign to enable orphaned and disadvantaged children (whose families are registered with the charity’s branches in Iraq), the opportunity to attend school for the new school calendar.

Through your generous donations, and in cooperation with Shakiry Charity shops, needy children will receive vouchers to the value of 50,000 IQD (approx. £35).  The vouchers can be redeemed at the charity shops for school clothes, shoes, school bags, books and stationery.  Only children equipped with these basic items will be permitted to return to school.

During the month of September, we are seeking donations of any amount that you can afford towards this campaign.  Every contribution will be sincerely appreciated as it will enable children to receive these basic items, and in so doing, continue their education for another year.
