Make this Ramadhan one to remember - for you and for thousands of needy families

About the guilty: What has brought you into hell? They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; And we used not to feed the poor; And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. {Quran Chapter 74 Verses 41 - 45}

Salaamun Alaikum,

As the holy month of Rajab is drawing to a close and not much more than four weeks remain until the beginning of the holy month of Ramadhan, LFT's preparations to implement its annual Eftar project are in full swing. Thousands of needy families all over the Islamic world are preparing for the holy month of fasting while mothers and fathers are worried about the daily repast of fast-breaking. Thousands of girls and boys are preparing to fast for the first time, unsure of whether they will be able to eat their fill at Eftar and conserve their strength until the end of the holy month. Please, help your needy Muslim brothers and sisters so that they can make full use of the spiritual benefits of the holy month!

LFT plans to implement its project in the following countries:

Iraq - in Kerbala, Najaf, Basra and Hilla amongst other towns - 2,500 families

Iran - Iraqi and Afghan refugees: 150 families with orphans in Qum, Ahwaz, Isfahan and Tehran. 650 families in Azna and Jahrom refugee camps. Refugees in these camps are not receiving World Food program rations for a long time. (Remark: In Isfahan, IRAC will distribute cash assistance instead of food items. All families in Azna refugee camp will receive a food basket; therefore, families with orphans will not receive separate assistance from the orphans program.). 700 needy town-based families in Qum and Ahwaz.

India - towns in the southern Indian State of Karnataka whose capital is Bangalore

Lebanon - towns in the southern part of Lebanon, particularly Nabatiyeh where the effects of Israeli weapons continue to kill and many innocent lives.

Tanzania - costal towns such as Dar es Salaam, the islands of Zanzibar and Pemba and inland towns around Arusha.
