Staff from Bayaa Branch paid a second visit to the widow Sabihah M.A to follow up on her living conditions. They found that she lived in a rented apartment with her only son. The rental for the apartment is 265.000 IQD (approx. £175) per month.
There is only one room in this apartment, so this needy widow must use the same room to prepare their food because there's no other space for her to do so.
There is no bread-winner in the family, apart from her only son who works for a daily wage that does not exceed 10.000 IQD (approx. £7) per day. This meagre income does not meet their living requirements or the cost of treatments required to control high blood pressure and diabetes for Sabihah.
This family desperately needs: -
- A regular monthly medical sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £35) for the widow.
- A donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £100) to buy a washing machine.
- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £135) to buy a wardrobe.
Staff from the branch support the widow in appealing to people of charity to extend a helping hand to this poor family.
