Diabetic father seeks medical sponsorship and support.

Staff from Najaf Branch visited the home of Mr. Mutahaf and his family.  He supports his wife and five children, most of who are enrolled in schools, except his 15-year-old son who left school to take care of his father.

The family lives in an overcrowded house consisting of two rooms lacking basic facilities. Mr Mustahaf suffers from diabetes, which resulted in the amputation of limbs, rendering him unable to work and provide a living allowance for his family.

This family is living on donations from generous benefactors.  They have no income apart from a basic social security benefit which is insufficient to provide for their daily requirements, and the treatment for the father.

This family are in desperate need of: -

• Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £35) to pay for the father to attend his medical appointments and buy medicine.

• A donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £135) to buy a cooker.

The staff of the branch calls upon generous donors to help this family in their time of need.
