Exhausted mother appeals for support to survive

The branch staff visited the family of Wissam S.  They found her living with her sick husband and six children in a rented house costing 100,000 IQD (approx. £70) per month.

This poor family suffers from destitution and disease.  They have no fixed income and receive no assistance from the state.

The struggling and enduring mother tries to earn an income to support her family by baking and selling bread. This is a hardship for her as she suffers from a slipped disc. To help out, one of her children sought work after school loading goods.

This family needs the following:

- Ongoing sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £35) per month to cover medical costs.

- A donation of 50.000 IQD (approx. £35) to buy an electric heater.

- A donation of 225.000 IQD (approx. £150) to buy a refrigerator.
