Basrah Branch: 

Support a poor family overcome the hardships of life. 

Our staff visited the family of the Hussein K.H who is unable to work because of his age.

Hussein lives with his family in rented and run down accommodation lacking basic necessities (such as a washing machine, a cooker, a kerosene stove, blankets, etc).

The father does his best to support his wife and five children (aged between 8-22 years). The eldest son is deaf and dumb, and only one son attends school.  The family has no income apart from a small amount of 198,000 IQD (approx. £132) which they receive from the Social Welfare Department every two months.  This is inadequate to meet the family’s basic needs.  From time to time they receive support from charitable sources.

This family needs: 

-  A donation of 160. 000 IQD (approx. £105)  to buy a cooker.

- A donation of 170.000 IQD (approx. £115) to buy a washing machine.

- A donation of 100.000 IQD (approx. £65) to buy a kerosene stove. 

- A donation of 100.000 IQD (approx. £65) to buy mattresses and blankets.

Staff from the branch appeal to kind hearted people to extend a helping hand to this poor family to help the overcome the hardships of life.
