Sadr City Branch: 

This widow approached the branch seeking help. She lives in her parents' house following her husband's death.  Her father is old and ill, and her stepmother mistreats her. 

The poor widow, Halima G.W has two children.  Currently they are not living with her, but with their maternal uncle because she is unable to provide for them as she does not have a source of income or support. Until recently the children did not even have documents to prove their nationality.   

In addition to the poor physical condition of the widow, she is sick and requires surgery to treat a hernia. Because she did not have the money to pay for it, the operation was postponed even though she had already undergone the relevant tests and xrays. Despite the severe pain she experiences, her step-mother forces her to do housework. This unfortunate woman does not have a mattress to sleep on or blankets to keep her warm in the cold weather. She has no heater to keep her sick body warm.  Thus, she resorted to the branch to seek help.

The needs of this lady are as follows: 

- A donation of 200.000 IQD (approx. £135) for surgery.

- A donation of 50.000 IQD (approx. £35) to buy a mattress and blankets. 

- A donation of 50.000 IQD (approx. £35) to buy a heater.

- An ongoing monthly sponsorship of 50.000 IQD (approx. £35) for each child.

Staff from the branch call upon kind hearted people to help this lady out of her difficult and tragic circumstances.
