Bayaa branch

Staff  from Bayaa Branch visited the widow, Najat. F, and found that she lives in a small apartment, not more than 40 square meters, with her four very young orphans.  The monthly rental is 225.000 IQD (approx. £150). 

The children’s mother died from sudden heart failure caused by ill-treatment from her husband. The father abandoned them four years ago and the old grandmother took over the responsibility of supporting them by making kebabs and selling to the shops. But she became too old and frail to carry on, and had to leave the job. 

This grandmother plays the role of the mother by caring for the orphans, and that of the father by trying to provide them with their daily sustenance. 

 This family needs: -

- Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 25.000 IQD (approx. £15) for each orphan.

- A donation of 150.000 IQD (approx. £100) to buy a gas cooker.

Please support this desperate grandmother  to provide for her grandchildren.
