Our staff visited the family of the Fakhria C.  The family lives in a dilapidated house, built without planning permission, and comprising of one room requiring extensive repairs.   Their home lacks sanitary facilities and basic necessities such as a washing machine, a cooker, a traditional oven. This family is suffering excessively.

Fakhria takes care of her husband who is unable to work.  They receive a small allowance from the social welfare department of 300.000 IQD (approx. £200) every two months.  To supplement their income, they have a small stand in the market.    Both these incomes are insufficient to provide for the family essentials.

This family needs: -

-          A donation of 160.000 IQD (approx.£105) to buy a cooker.

-          A donation of 170.000 IQD (approx. £115) to buy a washing machine.

-          A donation of 100.000 IQD (approx. £ 65) to buy traditional oven.

-          A donation of 400.000 IQD (approx. £265) to buy materials for their stand in the market.

-          A donation of 400.000 IQD (approx. £265) to renovate their home.

-          A donation of 400.000 IQD (approx. £265) to install sanitation facilities.

 The staff from Basra Branch appeals to generous people to help this family overcome their difficulties in life.
