Basra Branch:

Staff from Basra Branch visited Rabab, H.K.  They found her burdened with debt, hardship and the responsibility for a large family.

The family lives in rundown accommodation lacking many basic supplies.

This poor mother bears the sole responsibility for her four children.  She tries hard to provide their needs of clothing and food so that they may continue with their studies.

Her husband, who works as a taxi driver, is the main provider.  Unfortunately he was injured in a traffic accident.  His car, which he bought with a loan of five million Iraqi Dinars (approx. £3300), was badly damaged. The father is struggling to repay the debt, which means that he is unable to support his family.

This family needs: -

- A donation towards repaying the debt.

- A donation of 165.000 IQD (approx. £110) to buy a cooker.

- A donation of 210.000 IQD (approx. £140) to buy a washing machine.

- A donation of 290.000 IQD (approx. £195) to buy a refrigerator.

Staff at the branch appeal to goodhearted people to extend a helping hand to this family to help them overcome their difficult situation
