On a follow-up visit by branch staff to Radhiya S. we found that she still leads a difficult life. She lives with her two children in the al-Radhiya district in a one-room house which she rents for 100,000 IQD a month.

Radhiya’s son continues to attend school but her daughter no longer attends. They do not receive social security benefits but have applied to the department concerned without as yet getting approval.

This family needs:

- Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 25,000 IQD (approx. £ 15) for each orphan (2)

- A donation of 300,000 IQD (approx. £200) to buy a cooker

- A donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £165) to buy an air cooler

Branch staff implore good folk to extend a helping hand to this widow who continues to suffer under very difficult circumstances.
