Our staff visited the family of divorcee Hamida Kh. A. who suffers in bad circumstances.

This divorcee is sole provider for her two small daughters of three and four years of age following her divorce from her husband. She works hard to make a living by making brooms, which she then sells to earn an income. They receive no social security benefits, only alms from the benevolent.

This destitute family lives in a one-roomed shanty dwelling lacking many necessities.

This family urgently needs:

-  A donation of 165,000 IQD (approx. £110) to buy a cooker

-  A donation of  80,000 IQD  (approx. £ 55) to buy an oven

-  A donation of 150,000 IQD (approx. £100) to buy bedding

The branch staff beseech those of good heart to extend a helping hand to this destitute family to overcome the difficulties in life that they are facing.
