Sadr City branch

Mrs Hilima J. W. resorted to the Sadr City Branch for help. Following the death of her husband, she lives in the family house where she endures bad treatment from her father's wife - the father being old and sick.

Halima was looking after her two orphaned children, but they now no longer live with her.  They are being cared for at their uncle's house because she is unable to provide for them as she has no income, not being a breadwinner. The children do not even have identity papers.

In addition to these unfortunate conditions Halima is ill and needs surgery (hernia). Because she cannot afford the surgery, it has been delayed until the end of the current month despite her having completed analyses and x-rays over two weeks ago. She is suffering from intense pain but in spite of her illness she still performs housework as her father's wife obliges her to do so regardless of the cold weather. She does not have bedding to sleep on and neither blankets nor a heater to warm her sick body in this severe cold.

This woman resorted to the Charity's branch hoping to find someone who will extend a helping hand to her.

The following is an abbreviation of this woman's needs:

- A Donation of 200,000 IQD (approx. £135) for the surgical operation

- A Donation of  50,000 IQD (approx. £ 35) to buy bedding and covers

- A Donation of  50,000 IQD (approx. £ 35) to buy an oil heater

- Ongoing Monthly Sponsorship of 50,000 IQD (approx. £15) for each of her orphans (2)

Branch staff call upon every benevolent person to help this desperate woman and rescue her from her difficult and tragic circumstances.
