Sadr City Branch:

The branch staff visited Mr Rachid R.S and his family to assess their living conditions.

They found that Rachid has been diagnosed with a chronic disease (adhesion to the vertebrae and inflammation of the cartilage) which causes muscle tension in the hip.  This prevents him from moving and working.  In addition, he suffers from diabetes.

Previously this poor man was able to support his four-member family, but because of his illnesses, the family now lives in poverty and destitution.

This family needs:

* Ongoing monthly sponsorship of 50.000 IQDs (approx. £ 35) to pay for his medical     appointments.

* A donation of 245.000 IQD (approx.  £165) to buy a washing machine.

* A donation of 282.000 IQD (approx. £190) to buy a refrigerator.
